WOODEN WATCH VARIATIONS

Opis watches come in pairs. The UR-F1 series encompasses models for ladies, while the UR-M1 series provides matching models for men. While there are distinct male or female characteristics, the use of the same type of wood, the same dial-face colour and other stylistic elements across series ensures their perfect match.

Wood types
Only natural, oiled hardwood is used for all watch casings and wristbands. The different kinds of hardwood include:
black sandalwood: This is a dark brown high density wood from Mozambique. Black streaks are often visible in the texture.
red sandalwood: Prized since antiquity, this is a dark crimson wood from Mozambique. Its fibres are so condensed that it will often not float, but sink in water.
white maple: The colour of this wood from the United States ranges from bright white to cream coloured. Curly or quilted grain patterns are often found.
zebra wood: With its cream colour and darker stripes this United States wood appears to have a zebra pattern. Intriguing to look at, it takes a while to love because genuine, fresh zebra wood has a strong characteristic smell that only fades after weeks of use.
