Keychron Q3 QMK/VIA Custom Mechanical Keyboard-Knob Version
The Keychron Q3 Knob version is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard with QMK/VIA support and full aluminum frame. Anyone can intuitively master any keyboard keys or macro commands (incl. the knob) through the VIA software. The Q3 is designed with all components easily assembled, so you can customize the hardware and software with endless possibilities.
Program Each Key and Macro with QMK/VIA
Simply connect the Q3 to your device with a cable, import the Q3 keymap JSON file into the VIA software, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on macOS, Windows, or Linux operating systems, e.g.: create a macro command of a screenshot on macOS. Check our user guide or user manual for more instructions.
A brand new ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU which is powerful, and armed with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers.
Full Aluminum 80% TKL Layout
The Q3 is crafted with 6063 aluminum that is processed through CNC machined, polished, anodized, sandblasted, and undergoes 24 more manufacturing stages to make a solid metal art on the desk that is the Q3.
South-facing RGB Backlight
The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.
Double-shot PBT Keycaps
The Q3 comes with our unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical-angle) and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use.
Double-Gasket Design
This Double-Gasket Structure allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound. We added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. Each keyboard component could be reassembled easily. If there is any problem with the keyboard, it can be repaired by reassembling.
All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers
The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The big keys’ typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron Q3 also supports third-party stabilizers including Cherry or Durock.
Pre-lubed Gateron G Pro Switch
The pre-lubed Gateron G Pro mechanical switches come with an optimized mold with more precise positioning, and less wobbliness will certainly improve your fingertip feel. The Gateron switch is durable enough with an unrivaled tactile responsiveness on the linear red switch and up to 50 million keystroke lifespan.
Wired Connectivity
A reliable USB Type-C wired connection with 1000 Hz polling rate and NKRO ensures a constant power supply, and best to fit home, office and light gaming.
Hot-swappable
The hot-swappable sockets supports both 3 pin and 5 pin MX mechanical switches (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.), so you can customize your favorite switches without soldering.
