The temperature higher when the product is working ?That is normal. Wireless transmission needs to process 3D or full HD, so the temperature may be higher than other electronic products, please put the product in a well ventilated place.
Transmission Distance will be varied due to the environment.wall, bricks or glass will shorten the signal cover range or cause significant signal loss.It only can be longest distance up to 150m in the air (line of sight) without signal interference and conflict .But if you need to transmit signal through walls in your case, please be kindly informed that it is easy to pass through glass or wood wall, but you should keep both device stay within 5-10m or less distance in the case of some thin concrete wall. It can not pass through some thick concrete walls at all
Wireless hdmi extender MT-HD3503 default work 5.8ghz frequency which more stable and faster speed .But if you want to pass through walls and hope can transit longer .Better to go to web and set it work 2.4G frequency by hand . Then can easier to pass through wall and can be up to longer distance.

Verify the transmitter and receiver are powered on and connected successfully .
Check whether the IP address configured on the device is set to the static IP type
