This is a image barcode scanner that can read 1D / 2D bar codes.
Laser scanner or imager scanner? How do you know which one is right for you?
Lasers scanner depend on the reflection of laser light to get a good scan.Due to the nature of laser light, only a thin (linear) slice of the barcode can be read at any one time.Laser scanenr can not scan barcodes on screens as screens do not reflect laser light properly.
Imaging scanner works by taking pictures and running sophisticated image processing algorithms on each image to decode barcodes. With CMOS sensor, 2D Imager scanner can read barcodes from nearly every surface type including computer or mobile device screens, and even scan through glass surfaces, plastic shrink wrap.
If your barcode is 2D barcode or you need to read barcodes off a screen, such as computer monitor, smartphone or tablet, a 2D imager is likely the way to go.
According to the nature of its camera focus and photographing? imaging scanner is not sensitive to read long 1D bar code. If your main purpose is to scan one-dimensional barcodes longer than 3 inch, we suggest you purchase laser scanner. Generally, when reading 1D long barcodes, laser scanner can read barcode more easily than imaging scanner.
3 Connections:
Compatible with Bluetooth Function: Connect the scanner to your device via Bluetooth function. The transmission distance in the obstacles environment is about 20 m / 65 ft. The tansmission in the environment without any obstacles can reach up to 50 m / 164 ft.
2.4GHz Wireless Connection: Connect the scanner to your device via the USB dongle. The transmission distance in the obstacles environment is about 30 m / 98 ft. The tansmission in the environment without any obstacles can reach up to 100 m / 328 ft.
Wired Connection?Connect the scanner to your device via the USB cable. You can scan barcode while charging.
2 Upload modes
Instant Upload Mode: Read barcodes & upload barcode straight to the file you have opened.
Storage Mode: All scanned barcode will be stored directly into the bulit-in memory of the scanner. You can upload the data to your device in batch.
Internal offline storage supports up to 100,000 barcodes.

3 Trigger Modes:
Key Trigger Mode: Scanning light is only on when press the trigger.
Continuous Scan Mode: Scanning light is always on when the scanner is electrified. Scanning barcode without pressing any button.
Auto-sensing mode: Scanning light is off until a barcode presented in front of the scanner. Once the barcode is detected, the scanning light will turn on automatically to read the barcode.
Long Lasting Battery
Using a 1200mAh rechargeable battery, the scanner has a 20 hours of continuous scanning. It can work about two weeks in daily used after full charge. It takes 3 to 4 hours to full charge the scanner.

Note:
Not completely compatible with Square, as Square has its own custom scanner to prevent user to use barcode scaner of other brand in Square system. Our Barcode scaner can scan item barcode into search box and it will automatically search the item, but you have to manually click searched item to add it to the bill.
